BIZNOTE FOLLOWUP: Locust Cider opens its Alki taproom

Thanks for the tips! Less than two months after we broke the news that Locust Cider planned a taproom in the former Alki Urban Market space, it’s open. All ages are welcome; hours are noon-8 pm Sundays-Wednesdays, noon-9 pm Thursdays-Saturdays. Check here to see what’s on tap.

Is there food being served yet or is it BYO? I couldn’t find a menu online.

Was wondering also. In their previous WSB story, they touted a big kitchen, saying they’ed be able to serve food, but couldn’t find any menus on their website or SM pages.

Their IG said that they had Uli’s sausages but not sure if that was just for the grand opening.

Yes, Ulis Sausages 7 days a week! And thanks for the welcome, neighbors!

Anything else, or sausages only? (my spouse will be fine if that’s the only thing on the menu, maybe not me, though, lol)

We need a mini Mart or small grocery store on Alki beach like back in the day that spot was perfect now it’s some hipsters tap room with cider come on

There WAS a mini-mart there. Went out of business. Spot was empty for quite some time.

Does every promotion by WSB have to be met by internet trolls who have nothing more to do than throw shade at a new business opening?  How about “welcome to the ‘hood?”  that would be nice, for once.  I’ve lived in Alki 15 years and have seen businesses come and go.  Let’s support them and wish them well instead of bitching about what isn’t in their space.

Hear! Hear!I, for one, am very excited about this place!  I looooooooove cider! I think it is the only “cider dedicated” place in West Seattle?
