West Seattle scene: Youth Climate Strike participants

Thanks to Taproot School for the photo. A group from the independent K-5 school headquartered at the Fauntleroy Schoolhouse held signs on the bluff over the ferry dock as part of today’s nationwide Youth Climate Strike. (added) Kersti Muul sent this video, happening onto the group after she visited nearby Fauntleroy Creek to check out the salmon fry:

    Was just watching this through tears… I was leaving Judy’s house looking at the salmon fry from The Coho spawn this past fall, and the exoskeletons on her chestnut tree overhanging the creek where over a dozen little fry are hanging out in the sun. Sttudents started marching by me in their climate protest on the sidewalk above the creek.Perfect timing.I hope we are all listening clearly.I came around the corner to see the

    Yes, me and my family and a few friends will be holding signs at the foot bridge over the West Seattle freeway at 5:00 pm today. Then at 5:30 pm we will move to the Walk All Ways light at the Junction until 6:00. Come join us! We have signs and shirts, bring your own or stand with us!
