West Seattle Crime Watch: The case of the mystery basketball

If you know whose basketball that is, EB would like to get it back to its owner. He sent the photos and reports, “My car was broken into last night. The thieves left behind a scarf and basketball with initials PIR. The car was parked in the alley driveway behind 36th Ave SW between Graham and Raymond.”

Nothing was stolen from him – but those items were left behind. Yours? Contact us.

If you know whose basketball that is, EB would like to get it back to its owner. ” im sorry but trust me i have sympathy for a car’s window getting shattered and luckily nothing was stolen but do you really think the person who did this will really fess up and go “claim” this “mystery” basketball? being realistic this not realistic… good luck on your fix and i hope this criminal encounters karma sooner than later.

Actually, what both EB and I were thinking was that the basketball might belong to another theft victim, and was left behind by the thief. Often happens that loot from a prior crime turns up at another scene.

PIR is RIP backwards and looks like kind of fresh writing. I’d make a police report if you haven’t already.

The ball might read PI r. Not Pir. This could be celebrating the Math & Pi/Pie Day. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Area_of_a_circle
