UPDATE: Vehicle-on-side crash on Puget Ridge

(WSB photo)

7:32 PM: Avoid 16th SW at Morgan (map), where that vehicle went sideways after its driver hit a parked car. He’s being evaluated for possible transport, our crew reports.

8:18 PM: SFD has closed out the call. We will be going by soon to check if the road has reopened yet.

8:51 PM: 16th is open and wrecked SUV is being towed right now.

ADDED THURSDAY MORNING: The driver is under investigation for DUI.

The driver was drunk! He hit my parked car going at least 60 miles an hour flipping his own car and pushing mine 15 yards out of its parking space. The driver will be fine, but my car will not be, clearly. He did not have any information on his person so I was not able to get anything but his license plate number. The whole neighborhood came out to take video and pictures of me and my car despite my request for them to stop. No one said a word to me as I tried, to no avail, to get late enforcements attention well after the driver was taken care. So I stood there waiving to police for help Being ignored while spectators filmed me for their own entertainment. Only one person helped me at all. Everyone else just sipped their thermos and watched from behind their phone. Disgusting!

NO HE WAS NOT DRUNK! He had went to go get some food and come home. He’s diabetic and his blood sugar level was too low. He was just a few blocks away from home when he said everything went blurry and the next thing he remembers was waking up in ambulance. I am so sorry about your car and he now has no car to get to work and pay for this terrible accident! He’s been warned about just in case things like this might happen. This will probably be his WAKE UP call and he’ll take care of himself better

Hope the driver has car insurance. And I hope he takes better care of himself before he is seriously injured or harms someone else.

Sorry, comment time is over.
