WADING POOLS: Open today – but remember, this is the last week for many. Today’s West Seattle pools are Lincoln Park (8011 Fauntleroy Way SW) 11 am-8 pm, EC Hughes (2805 SW Holden) noon-7 pm, and Hiawatha (Walnut/Lander) noon-6:30 pm.

COURTYARD DEDICATION AND FILM SCREENING: Providence Mount St. Vincent dedicates a courtyard in honor of Dyke R. Turner, “the architect whose passion and vision helped bring The Mount’s Intergenerational Learning Center to life.” The event starts with a film screening at 4 pm and continues with the dedication at 5:15 pm, followed by a reception. BARBECUE AT THE KENNEY: The annual outdoor community barbecue at The Kenney is today, 5:30-7 pm. (7125 Fauntleroy Way SW)

SUMMER CONCERTS AT HIAWATHA: This year’s fifth free show at 6:30 pm on the east lawn at Hiawatha Community Center, this week featuring The Service Providers, as previewed here. Presented by the Admiral Neighborhood Association, with co-sponsors including WSB. (Walnut south of Lander)

WEST SEATTLE TIMEBANK GATHERING: 6:30 pm at the Senior Center/Sisson Building, enjoy a potluck and learn about timebanking – details here. (4217 SW Oregon)
