Historic season for West Seattle Little League All-Stars comes to an end

It was the first time the West Seattle Little League All-Stars (12-year-olds) had won the state championship and advanced to the Northwest Regionals … and tonight, after their third game, the history-making season finally came to a close. WSLL lost to the Oregon state champs from Beaverton, 7-3, in San Bernardino, California. Congratulations to the team, their families, and the WSLL organization for achievements that turned many local eyes to youth baseball for the first time!

Knowing how hard these boys (and coaches) worked this season and over their entire little league careers… I am proud that this group got to represent not just West Seattle Little League, but the entire West Seattle community and State of Washington!  What a great accomplishment by some fine ambassadors of youth baseball. I (we) are very happy to have been a part of this amazing season, and will always be proud of your amazing run! Go Westside!!

So proud of these kiddos – they battled food poisoning, a broken arm (in a game) and HEAT but their sportsmanship and spirit never wavered. Way to go  WSLL All stars!

Sorry, comment time is over.
