NEW THIS YEAR! Be part of the West Seattle Dog PAWrade before the Grand Parade

Get ready to march with your pooch(es) through The Junction before this summer’s West Seattle Grand Parade! It’s the start of a new tradition. In place of the Kiddie Parade, which hasn’t drawn much interest in recent years, the West Seattle Junction Association is launching the West Seattle Dog PAWrade. The whole family’s welcome to participate on Saturday, July 21st, 11 am, on California SW from Genesee to Edmunds. It’s free, but donations are appreciated – you can register starting now, and a donation gets you a collapsible dog dish or bandanna in honor of your PAWrade support. There’ll be trophies and medals – the categories are explained on The Junction’s official PAWrade page, which is also where you can go to sign up!

    Really don’t get the draw of a dog parade but I guess if there are resources to make it happen it’s worth a try!

      If you dont get the draw of a dog parade then there’s something desperately wrong with you.

    Wow, Chad is totally right. If you don’t get the draw of pups then are you human? If you agree with Mariem then you haven’t met my dog, he rocks and totally has a draw.

    What a great idea!   Definitely sharing this on FB and getting friends to sign up. My kids and our corgi, Tag, are super excited.

    Chad and Derek….a big ‘ouch!’ on your personal attacks on Mariem.  We are all drawn to different activities and events.    She didn’t say she doesn’t like dogs; she  didn’t say it was stupid a idea to have the PAWrade; she didn’t say it shouldn’t happen. She did say, ‘…if there are resources to make it happen it’s worth a try!’   It’s obvious that you both love dogs; so do I.   Let’s not assume Mariem is not human or that something is wrong with her.   She is our neighbor. She is part of West Seattle…just like the two of you and me.
