(SDOT MAP with travel times/video links; is the ‘low bridge’ closed? LOOK HERE)

7:12 AM: We start with a Metro bus cancellation, just tweeted/texted:

No traffic incidents so far.

SUNDAY ALERT: Reminder that the Cosmo 7K/5K is this Sunday morning (August 27th) along Alki Avenue SW, so watch for parking restrictions/road closures.

7:36 AM: Via Twitter, Sue tells us the lane closures for the 4th Avenue S. repaving project just north of the West Seattle Bridge are starting earlier – the right lane has just closed at Lander.

8:16 AM: Metto just sent an update that the aforementioned last 37 “did operate” — about 35 minutes late.

FYI, there is a truck (one of the scrap metal trucks headed to Nucor) precariously leaning to the side, causing traffic issues on Andover, just west of the Delridge/ Andover intersection.

      Thanks, hadn’t heard about that.

looks like the tow trucks just got it righted, and should be able to move soon, hopefully.   Kinda looked like one of its back, left tires was blown out (by a piece of scrap metal, ironically).

Thanks for the update. We weren’t able to get over, although Patrick tells me somebody just texted a photo. That’s a tough intersection in the best of times.

(correcting myself: back right tire, not back left tire. It was leaning towards the sidewalk)

Sorry, comment time is over.
