Presidential debate #2: Where to watch in West Seattle

11:55 AM: Once again on the eve of a presidential debate (6 pm our time on Sunday), we’re being asked about West Seattle venues planning to view it. So we’re again putting the question out to you, in case you’ve heard of one … so far we have Admiral Bird (California/Admiral), a debate-watching fixture, and Sound & Fog (4735 40th SW). ADDED 5:22 PM: Parliament Tavern (4210 SW Admiral Way) is showing the debate, adding “Happy Hour extends throughout the proceedings featuring $4 micros and well drinks, as well as $2.50 Rainiers and PBRs.” Afterward, it’s the John Lennon Birthday Bash.

I thought the same last time, that it required a good dose of alcohol to watch the debate. However, things that were said made me so angry and the alcohol just fueled my emotions further. I spent the next two days hungover, angry, and needlessly ranting on facebook. It wasn’t pretty. So, this time I’m going in as sober as possible!

I never understood the attraction of the cheeto-god. I get the anti-establishment part – but he is the establishment. I get the anti-elitist part, but he is the elite. He’s a racist, sexist bigot. Sadly so are a lot of his supporters. Thankfully there’s no way in hell he’ll win. He lost long ago.
