Tomorrow will be “soft open” day for the new Fresh Flours Bakery and Café at 9410 Delridge Way SW, starting at 7 am.

We first told you back in January that Fresh Flours proprietors Etsuko and Keiji (above), who have three cafés elsewhere in the city, were thrilled to be opening their fourth in West Seattle, since this is where they live.

After Etsuko sent word today that they plan to soft-open tomorrow, we stopped by this afternoon, as they continued working hard to get everything ready to go.

Along with their baked goods – croissants and macarons are among their specialties, we’re told – they will be serving Stumptown Coffee, and giving some away during soft-opening day tomorrow.

As we noted in January, South Delridge will be the production bakery for all Fresh Flours locations. They’re also working on an outdoor seating area on the north side, where they demolished a small old house and will be putting up a new fence and foundation – Etsuko says they hope that will be done by summer.

I approached the bakery today from 15th (that wacky intersection that crosses with Delridge) saw the sign and thought, “Has that always been there?” Thank you for letting me know that I’m not that utterly unobservant. I am really looking forward to having them so close to home!

I’m so excited. I was recently introduced to their cafe on Beacon Hill. Love it. So happy to have another quality business so close to home.

I’ve adored their Phinney location for years. My husband gave out their adorable colorful macaroons for holiday gifts at his office last year. AND I’ve always admired that sweet brick building in White Center and fantasized about turning it into a cute little shop. So happy that these folks felt the same way! Just cannot wait to go. Thank you Etsuko & Keiji!!

They’re the best! Their green tea latte is one of the best around. Welcome!

They have done a beautiful job with the aesthetic of the building…it makes me want to go!  I hope they thrive in West Seattle!

The outside of the building is really nice looking.

Just stopped by and got  a delicious hemp milk latte!  Pastries are sold out for the day but they still have macarons.  Their signage is beautiful and it’s so nice to have a good coffee shop in this part of the neighborhood! Welcome,  Fresh Flours!

  • Noona April 9, 2016 (1:54 pm)

Pastries were sold out before I could get there around 12:45 today,  but I got the remaining slice of green tea pound cake.  Delicious!  Of course.

Sour Cherry and cream turnover was bomb! So happy the bakery is in our neighborhood!!!

We spot by this morning and it was packed. We enjoyed the savory pastries. So good! Coffee was great too. After running some errands, we past by the place and it was still packed. Welcome to the hood!

We went on Saturday and the pastries were so good, we went again on Sunday!  Great to see this fantastic business investing in White Center.  Welcome!

Warning!  Do not try their pastries or you will become addicted!  Have never been to one of their bakeries before but driving by today had a sudden yen thanks to this post and tried a chocolate something and we’ll be back!  Decided to bribe my car repair people as well.

We hadn’t tried their creations yet either but after giving them a couple days of space, co-publisher Patrick went over this morning, and came back with what he said was a “scone” but really had more croissant-ish qualities to it. Awesome. P.S. As we told Etsuko and Keiji while talking with them on Friday, we are also fans of the nearby Salvadorean Bakery, but its specialties are different so this is more complementary than competitive! – TR

Oh man, you guys, I’m planning on going to Lee’s Produce tomorrow morning, and just walking by  Fresh Flours would be enough of a temptation.

But with all these great reviews…….?

    And Kayo…..cherry turnover?

Ya  just  had to say that, didn’t ya? ;-)

What time do they open? Some of their locations open and 6 and some at 7. The hours of the new location aren’t on the website yet.

Sorry, comment time is over.
