Heard but not found: Mystery boom in South Delridge/White Center

So far, police haven’t found the source of something very loud within the past 15 minutes or so in South Delridge or White Center. Via the scanner, we heard an SPD dispatcher say reports were coming in from the King County side of the line too, but no word of anything definitive, no reports of any injuries, so we might never find out – just thought we’d mention it for the “others heard it too” files, if nothing else.

The explosions come from Georgetown or Beacon Hill area.
I was on my porch when I heard the explosions and saw the flashes from the tree line leading down to the 1st Ave bridge in Georgetown.
    There were several dozen explosions.

Casey – there also was a call from South Park dispatched around that time, and in this case they didn’t believe it was the same thing.

Something woke us up around 1:30 which sounded like two gunshots in the Admiral District. This has been happening off and on for a while.

yep heard it around 1240ish sounded like thunder at first to muffled and to consecutive to be fireworks and way to loud for gunshots was wondering if a factory down in sodo or west marginal way was on fire it sounded similar to explosions in a fire or perhaps powerline transformers??

Hi heard it, too, near Camp Long. Night before we had gunshots, which I called in to 911, but these definitely were more like explosions, and off in the distance.

I know there is a Haunted House in Georgetown, could it be from them?

I just heard a boom in White Center, 6:11 pm on October 5th, but it sounds more like the usual background noise around here than what people are describing this boom as.

Hi, D, any boom between 5:30 and 8-something tonight is likely related to the Seahawks Monday Night Football game … some people set off fireworks for any scoring.

I heard something a week or two ago, I live in the shorn park area but I never heard sirens after so figured it was from Boeing or something else in the industrial area.

Sorry, comment time is over.
