Good morning! Highlights ahead for your West Seattle Sunday:

WEST SEATTLE FARMERS’ MARKET: 10 am-2 pm in the middle of California SW between Oregon and Alaska. (Remember that the street is closed 7 am-4 pm and that has to be strictly enforced – if you’re parked there when they have to start setting up, you’ll be a candidate for towing.) Special feature today, per WSFM: “Live music by Les Chattes Creole, authentic Cajun/Creole dance music.”

THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT WEST SEATTLE? Noon-4 pm, check that assumption by visiting the Southwest Seattle Historical Society‘s Log House Museum. (61st/Stevens)

WADING POOLS & SPRAYPARK OPEN TODAY: Lincoln Park (11 am-8 pm) and Delridge (12-6:30 pm) wading pools are open, as is Highland Park Spraypark (11 am-8 pm) – addresses and full citywide schedule here.

LOW-LOW TIDE, WITH THIS SUMMER’S LAST APPEARANCE BY BEACH NATURALISTS: Low-low tide is out to -1.6 feet at 12:54 pm; Seattle Aquarium volunteer beach naturalists are out to answer questions (for the last time this summer!) at Constellation and Lincoln Parks, 11:45 am-2:15 pm.

BLUE ANGELS/SEAFAIR TODAY, WITH BRIDGE CLOSURE: Last day of the big weekend.

While the Blue Angels officially are flying “over Lake Washington” for the Seafair air show, with Boeing Field‘s proximity, you’ll see/hear them to some degree here (and/or be affected by the related bridge closure), so we are again providing this info:

*I-90 bridge closure, 11:50 am-2:40 pm
*Loudest part of the air show starts at 12:40 pm, including the Air Force’s F-22 Raptor and the Navy’s Blue Angels (who went up at 1:35 pm on Saturday, landing at 2:25 pm)
*This also is the last day for free Seafair Fleet tours at Piers 66, 69, and 90, 12:30-3:30 pm – info here

NO ALKI POINT LIGHTHOUSE TOURS AGAIN TODAY: The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is still busy with Seafair duties – but tours are expected to resume next weekend.

BURGUNDY PEARL AT C & P: 3-5 pm, live music at C & P Coffee Company (WSB sponsor) with acoustic duo Burgundy Pearl. (5612 California SW)

BOOGIE-WOOGIE AT KENYON HALL! Finish out your weekend on a high note – more than one, in fact – with Arthur Migliazza‘s last West Seattle performance (he’s moving to New York), joined by Daryl Davis, on the Kenyon Hall Chickering grand piano. More info in our calendar listing. 7:30 pm. **UPDATE: Kenyon Hall says this show is sold out.** (7904 35th SW)

PREVIEW NEXT WEEK, AND BEYONDhere!
