West Seattle traffic alert: Bus-car collision by Westwood Village, 1 hurt

SW Barton is blocked between 25th and 26th on the southeast side of Westwood Village after a car and Metro bus collided. Our crew says the car’s driver is going to the hospital; no injuries on the bus, which had no passengers as it was en route back to the terminal. A tow truck is expected in half an hour or so to clear the scene.

so,,,, how do you not see a bus? I’m curious about who did or didn’t do what. This is within the TRANSIT HUB OF DOOM zone.

Wait? A Seattle driver not paying attention?! I’m shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you.

On a side note, there were almost two extra accidents at Delridge/Henderson as two cars attempted to use the opportunity of folks pulling over for emergency vehicles to speed by them and through the intersection – narrowly missing being struck by said emergency vehicles.

    Don’t text and drive!

Always an important reminder – however, we have ZERO indication that texting was (or was not) involved here. The main reason for mentioning the collision in realtime was to let people know Barton was blocked for a while. – TR
