The scene at Alki last night was deplorable. I had no idea what goes on. Trashed adults stumbling around with fireworks, little people almost getting hit by fireworks, some a-hole who could barely contain his pit bull and laughing at it because it was freaked out by the fireworks, people yelling f*** the police…never again, what garbage.

How about a car free Holiday like other events? We residents and businesses could fund shuttle buses from Spokane Street or SODO.
It will keep the knuckleheads out, no hiding in their cars, and they cannot carry much booze or fireworks in.
I am in for $100.

This holiday has turned out to be a trash fest! How disrespectful is it to litter or beautiful beaches? VERY! The Fourth is not the same anymore. Just get drunk and trash the place! To all who participated in trashing Alki, DON’T COME BACK!

One portion of the bike path on Alki Ave is littered with bits from exploding fireworks. Thanks to whoever picked up the firework boxes and neatly stacked them.
