Amazon sells a “mean” brake or accelerator pedal steel lock with key, not “The Club brake lock”. This is much heavier steel and no car is getting stolen with that on it. It’s very awkward to unlock, bending over, fiddling around, need light to lock and unlock it. All things a thief will not have time or want to do. Plus it will really annoy a thief that it was installed, making it even more worth it. Hacksawing through a brake pedal versus a steering wheel is a whole different animal. They more than likely won’t want to do it.

I don’t know why they chose to post here, today, but that is the incident we (among others) covered two weeks ago. Still not solved. We also reported the TV coverage of the rider in the hospital, the rider meeting the Good Samaritan, etc. – TR

Looking for hit and run suspect. Vehicle has missing right side mirror, heavy front windshield damage, probable front bumper damage. Vehicle is light metallic blue color. Driver hit a cyclist at sw 11th and sw Spokane. Cyclist was hit with a ton of force and left to die in the street. Vehicle was heading westbound over the lower bridge… Any information call 911.

My car was prowled last night, just north of Lincoln Park. The prowler took a pair of prescription ray ban sunglasses (good luck with that buddy my eye sight suuuucks) and an outdated gps that i could care less about. They left a pack of marlboro menthol 100s and trash strewn about as a present though. :/

As for stolen bikes, I would look under the Admiral Way bridge. There’s homeless kids/people living under there. Again! They don’t look like they have 3 cents, but there’s some nice bikes under there.
I saw a boy and girl going down there with two packs of meat for their BBQ. A guy (with backpack) stopped me on the street and asked me where the homeless bridge party was. I claimed ignorance and said I didn’t know. He said two girls invited him. I wondered if I looked homeless too. Oh well. :(
Then I heard a cat in the distance. We went our separate ways.

Eggs…every few months someone goes down our street (in Admiral District) egging houses and cars. You’d think after 3 years they’d out grow this behavior.

Car theft prevention? How bout keeping these thugs locked up so they can’t keep doing it. Never got my $17,000 truck back and tired of sharing my daughters car.
