Just spit-balling here, but if our (perhaps) intoxicated driver let his wheels dip into that ditch and over-corrected…

Glad he’s okay.

He was okay, aside from being shaken and scraped up on his arms, hands and legs. There was definitely a faint smell of alcohol on him. He explained the he was doing 35 going around the turn (right before Home Depot if you’re going downhill) and his car “over steered” and he lost control. Sadly, he wasn’t the owner of the car. His friend and owner of the car, showed up a few minutes later, after the driver received his phone out of the car. It was kind of a terrifying sight to see, but I’m glad the driver is alive.

Here’s how to do that: http://www.seattle.gov/light/streetlight/
.
This was east of the April flipped-car crash:
.
https://westseattleblog.com/2014/04/heavy-rescue-response-for-rollover-in-high-point/
.
And there was this one in 2011
.
https://westseattleblog.com/2011/10/traffic-alert-crash-closes-eastbound-sylvan-way/
.
and another in 2010. (Also in 2011, car vs pole: https://westseattleblog.com/2011/07/west-seattle-traffic-alert-crash-blocks-delridgesylvan/ )
.
I should also note two things: While the 911 callout was for Sylvan Heights Drive, this did NOT happen on that street – it happened on Sylvan Way itself, the main route between Delridge and 35th (which becomes Morgan further to the west). Also, we have no official word on its cause (and probably never will, since no major injuries resulted). That stretch has other challenges, could even have been swerving to avoid wildlife.

Don’t speed.

Who do we contact to get that fixed ?

It was so dark by the cemetery you almost had to use high beams when I left just before Memorial Day weekend.
