And for folks who wonder how to get these hummers to visit your yard during the spring – plant our native current shrub – available at West Seattle Nursery – I just bought a new one and it’s a hummer magnet. You need to place it in your yard so it will have space to eventually grow to 6 feet wide by about 10 feet tall over a decade or so. Totally worth making the space for this hummingbird favorite and so good for naturalizing your yard’s habitat. Look:

absolutely stunning, STUNNING photos!
those hummingbirds come into my yard all the time and while i marvel at their coloration from afar, these images (in their exquisite detail) really show how spectacular they are.
