Max, I think the pot holes are a plot by the city to keep us from driving our cars.

Whether you want the trees or not, they will be planted. The only maontaining the city will do is water them. It’s up to the homeowners to rake the leaves and flower blossoms. Oh and when the trees are large enough and the roots break up the sidewalk and someone trips and gets hurt – guess who is responsible – the homeowner. Our neighbors were sued last year.

I would rather see the money spent to fill the dangerous pot holes. Maybe if the city thought it was dangerous for bikes instead of cars they would do something.
