Four reader reports to share in West Seattle Crime Watch, starting with a stolen car to watch for:
Sheila reports:
Our white Honda Accord was stolen from right in front of our house at the corner of 18th SW & SW Holden, between 11 pm & 7 am this morning.
Greg reports a car break-in near Lincoln Park:
Car prowl – 7300 block 44th Ave SW. Stole 5” TomTom GPS.
David reports a potential car prowler appeared to be scoping out his neighborhood early Thursday:
I live in the 8800 block of 11th Ave SW (between Henderson and Trenton) in Highland Park. An elderly neighbor let me know that around 4 AM July 25, a man was going from vehicle to vehicle on our street, checking in the windows with a flashlight. Just thought I’d send a note to you to help get the word out and remind everyone to make sure they don’t keep anything valuable in their vehicles.
Also yesterday, a North Admiral report of suspected casing:
I … was driving North on 48th Ave SW between Hanford and Stevens. I noticed a Brown 4 door sedan with patches of paint missing driving very slowly and looking at the houses. I was driving directly behind the vehicle. The car slowed down after crossing Stevens and pulled over to the right as they noticed open windows at a house that had recently sold. I saw them point to the windows and they stopped their car. I do have a license plate, but cannot tell you the make of the car. They were casing houses. They only slowed at homes that had open windows.
