Update: Search over, 86-year-old woman found at hospital.

11:13 PM UPDATE: The woman reported missing earlier has been found at a hospital, her family confirms – though they’re still trying to find out how she got there – and the search has ended.

EARLIER:

Please be on the lookout for 86-year-old Ann Allen, who we have just learned has been missing for more than 2 hours in the Providence Mount St. Vincent area. Her daughter-in-law tells us that Ann “has fairly serious dementia.” If you see her or have an idea where she might be – please call 911.

As soon as my wife saw this on Facebook about a half hour ago we went outside to walk the alley with the flashlight. We live about a block away. There was a police car slowly driving up 36th using his lights so we thought we better start walking. We got up about a block and ran into another neighbor who told us she was found at Harborview. Glad it ended and we hope she is well. This WSB is valuable, realtime. Good work!

Thank you so much to everyone who helped look for my mother-in-law, Ann Allen, on Tuesday night. It seems she was found on the sidewalk on 36th Ave. SW at Alaska St. soon after she wandered away from The Mount. She was entirely uninjured, but disoriented, so somebody was kind enough to call for an ambulance. Ann was at the Harborview emergency room by 7:51, but neither our family, nor the police, nor The Mount knew that she was safe until almost 11pm. Everyone, especially Officer Trinh and the other police officers who helped, and the staff at The Mount, was so kind to us as darkness came on, the temperature turned chilly and our worries increased. Ann is now safe back at The Mount. Thank you again to everyone.

Sorry, comment time is over.
