Update: House-fire call in 9800 block 35th SW

12:14 AM: A caller driving by told 911 about seeing smoke and possibly flames at a home in the 9800 block of 35th SW (map), so Seattle Fire Department has a full response on the way. First unit on the scene isn’t seeing anything, though. 35th SW is closed between 98th and 100th while firefighters investigate.

12:59 AM: Call’s closed, which means the crews have cleared from the scene.

Live on the corner of 35th & Morgan…woke up by one Engine and the “Cramer” Ladder truck heading up the street. Hope everyone and their pets all got out safe….Isn’t this one about a block up from the one a few nights ago :( Hope everyone is safe.

Doesn’t seem to be a fire at all but I’m still monitoring. Glad the passerby called in just in case, of course. This is almost a mile south of that last one, which did involve a small fire …

Absolutley, glad they called…better to call and it be nothing than not call and it be something bad. Glad they didn’t just pass by and do nothing. Here’s hoping for nothing…or at least something small and not too damaging.

Sorry, comment time is over.
