One more time: NO, in King County, and therefore in West Seattle, there is NO BURN BAN in effect. It was lifted yesterday, when we published this update. In Pierce and Snohomish Counties, there IS a burn ban, but ONLY in those two counties. Local radio/TV has to serve 22 counties. We serve 85,000 people in one neighborhood of one city. (OK, with White Center and South Park, three neighborhoods.) So it’s information that is directly relevant to you. Of course, it’s always better for the air if you don’t use your fireplace/wood stove/etc. unless you have to, they’d tell you, so if you want to observe a voluntary personal ban, they’d probably stand up and cheer! – TR
