West Seattle Weather Watch: More sun ahead!

That’s Venus setting last night, behind “some rain that didn’t reach the ground,” as John Hinkey described it. The forecast looks good for at least today and tomorrow – so you might see something just as, if not more, beautiful tonight.

Yes, go watch the sunset tonight or tomorrow night, but don’t leave after the sun goes down – typically that’s when the really beautiful scenes happen. I stayed until 9:45 last night to take this and many other nice images.

No one will read this but it’s called virga, when precipitation (rain, ice crystals) evaporate before reaching the ground. Wiki it.

Actually I have occasion to use that again, as I have another photo from someone from TONIGHT’s sunset :) – TR
