‘Sidewalk closed, but businesses open’: Junction reminder

Cheryl from Twilight Artist Collective in The Junction, on SW Alaska just west of Easy Street Records, wants to make sure you know that despite the sign, their business (and the others to the west) IS OPEN while the neighboring bus shelter gets its RapidRide-related makeover.

    Only in Seattle, and only from SDOT, does putting in a bus stop take from one to three months. Again, SDOT, your friendly local source of complete frustration and aggravation.

    They certainly aren’t breaking any speed records
    with the Findlay stop. Take your time guys.

    It’s disappointing that the crew did not post a “businesses are open” sign as I’ve often seen at other construction sites in business districts. Any idea of who to contact about this?

    The new stop at 35th and Avalon is progressing slowly too, where is the sense of urgency?

    Yeah, but you can get a bicycle lane/stencil done in a fraction of that time.
