West Seattle Weather Watch: Storm alert for Sunday, Monday

On the first full day of fall, the season’s first “Special Weather Statement” is already out. The National Weather Service warns of wet, windy conditions the next two days. Not a major drencher, they say, but the wind will get gusty, and you might want to check to be sure you don’t have anything outside in danger of getting blown around. Read the alert here; also take note of the new WSB Weather page, which already has everything from current conditions to 5-day forecast to tides to sun/moon times. Find it here (or click the “Weather” tab or the temp icon under the sidebar bridge cam).

Its overcast as usual right now, but my outdoor senses aren’t telling me the same thing. I have a better radar system than Doppler has.

Yep, Jiggers, I’m going to have to change my plans again. It looks like a pretty nice day to be outside — oops, there’s a little gusting outside my window. Guess I’d better keep a jacket handy. It’ll probably be one of those iffy days.

That one must have been relatively short – we just published an item about a Delridge power outage caused by a downed tree and it’s the only one on the map in this right now. But let us know if you’re still out! – TR

Called city to report outage. Neighbors said we lost power around 5 a.m. – still out.

Crazy amount of wind last night, I had to get up and make sure nothing fell of my apartment balcony. Still gusty now. I think fall showed up in the last 12 hours.
