The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon is just getting under way, and one of the related road closures is a biggie – the Alaskan Way Viaduct, both ways. Here’s the update we published a few days ago, including a clickable map with all the marathon-related closures; the state says the Viaduct will be fully open again by 4 pm. As for other events affecting traffic around the city – here’s the weekly bulletin SDOT sent out on Thursday.
With the Gya pride parade and the Marathon going on wrecking havoc, I’m glad I’m not in King County now. Good luck in getting anywhere this weekend.
Jiggers, the parade is tomorrow…..but I have to say this mornings traffic was disgusting. I had to pick up friends ( THEY OWE ME BIG TIME ) from their cruise ship trip over in Magnolia……99 closed, Alaskan way closed, pioneer square closed off, if I go on and on with this boring post, my blood pressure will go up again and i just got all calmed down. TRAFFIC TODAY IN SEATTLE YUCK !!!!! I actually yelled at a traffic cop…..not good!!!!
