West Seattle scenes: Season’s 1st cruise ship, seen from Alki

Thanks to CL for the view of Crystal Symphony this morning, with Anchor/Luna Park in the foreground. This is the first cruise ship to visit Seattle this season; it was scheduled to dock this hour at Pier 66. CL also had shared the Port of Seattle‘s link to the full-season schedule – see it here – things really pick up next month.

Ha, I saw the ship as I was walking down Broad this morning and thought – first ship of the year!

I’m heading down there to have lunch aboard and check out the ship. This is a very upscale cruise line.

Hope the tourists brought their wet-weather gear!
Maybe there are financial incentives for these early-season cruises, but I think I would wait until July.

I love watching the ships come in! And always sad to see them go, without me on them!

Alas, the season of tourii approaches. Soon the waterfront will be teeming with matching windbreaker couples…and if Pike Place Market was bad during re-construction…

Sorry, comment time is over.
