West Seattle Crime Watch: Suspected car prowlers spotted

Near Lowman Beach Park early today, R noticed and reported a trio of suspected car prowlers – read on for details:

Monday morning approx 1 am, I noticed 3 prowlers at the Lincoln Park Way and Beach Drive area. [map] They were suspicious because they were walking randomly around the various streets and looking in cars. (they had a small flashlight)

I called the police, who did respond quickly, stopped the 3 and questioned them. They were not arrested. and started walking up Lincoln Park Way.

After the police left, they returned and drove off in a lowered black or dark blue older Honda with a rear spoiler. and white ford Taurus/Contour.

Keep up the watch for these guys. I have had a number of car prowls over the past couple of years – and during a couple of episodes last year – I believe I saw the same honda with low muffler, rear spoiler get scared off when I came outside (I live near Arbor Heights).

Note – they were always on Sun nights – so wondering if the same crew. Can you share license plates?
