Free mammograms tomorrow in West Seattle – but call today!

If you haven’t already heard about this via Facebook or Twitter, we’re mentioning here too: Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is offering free mammograms tomorrow at Roxbury Safeway, 8:30 am-7:30 pm – criteria: “Uninsured women between 40 and 64.” But you need to call for an appointment: 206.288.7800.

(P.S. If you miss out on this, West Seattle Community Clinic has its next day of free breast/cervical screening for uninsured/underinsured 40-65-year-olds on Nov. 6; call 206.937.9722.)

Thanks for info about WS Community Clinic; never heard of it or the free screenings; where is it located? this is a regular monthly thing?

Very much appreciated since my health insurance was ripped away few months ago; and the free mammogram van has been highly publicized on ch 5, so I would expect it to be full by now; glad they got lots of coverage this time

The clinic changed its web address and didn’t redirect the old one, but I just found the new one and will add. In short – 35th/Henderson, across from SW Library – TR

Call anyway if they are full and you meet the requirements they may make you an appointment at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for free. That is what happened for myself, the local van was full but if I wanted I could go to SCCA and get it there I could get it for free so I did. Parking is $2 to $4 depending on how long you are there. So do not hesitate call they have made accommodations before.
