Also today: Free yoga; Bowling for Bullies; WS Farmers’ Market

From the WSB West Seattle Events calendar: In addition to the Fauntleroy Church/YMCA dedication (previewed last night) at 2 pm, today’s list also includes free Sunday Yoga at Sound Yoga (WSB sponsor) 11 am-12:15 pm; Bowling for Bullies, a benefit to raise funds for, and awareness of, what organizers call “the amazing Pit Bull ‘breed'” and rescued dogs who need a second chance, partial proceeds to Bullseye Dog Rescue with rescue dogs on hand for adoption, 1:30 pm at West Seattle Bowl … and as always, the West Seattle Farmers’ Market, 10 am-2 pm, The Junction (44th/Alaska), with apples and wild mushrooms among the new items on today’s Ripe and Ready list.

No offense, but that ripe and ready list is borderline useless. Its the same every week and many of the items listed they haven’t had for months, example, English Shelling Peas.

Sorry to hear that, Carson – fwiw I don’t publish the link unless it is what they have sent out on their mailing list as new for the current week, which in this case it was, but they don’t update it weekly, I’ve noticed, which is why I stopped including the link regardless. (The cross-reference is what they e-mail via a Google list, which one of their webpage links to as well.) We just came back and while I didn’t do an item-by-item comparison, I can report at least that they have “early Fuji” apples at one vendor, something we look forward to every fall … they store well but nothing like fresh off the tree! – TR

    TR,

I know you are just adding the link, I didn’t want it to seem like you have anything to do with it other than passing on the information. I just don’t think they do much editing of it week to week

Sorry, comment time is over.
