Let every american, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the revolution never to violate in the least particular the laws of the country, and never to tolerate their violation by others. Abe lincoln

I’m considering how this was held just blocks from where Offc. McKissack was almost killed and how we are so grateful for his, Officer Brenton’s and the thousands of other officers service to our community.

What saddens me and makes me more than a little ashamed is how many empty seats there appear to be. These men and women show up every time someone calls 911, so where are we on this one day/year to honor them? On the positive side,I’m glad this service was held, that the Mayor was there, and I appreciate the Abe Lincoln quotation and the comment by “Thanks.”

Sorry, comment time is over.
