West Seattle Crime Watch: Now we have a purloined pig

From Dicki at Endolyne Joe’s in Fauntleroy – the photo at left and the plea for help finding that sign:

My partner, Mark Silver, who built Joe’s, made a great Pig holding a sandwich board sign that said Eat at Joe’s. We have been putting it on the corner of 45th and Wildwood. He made this incredible sign for free because he loves Joe’s. One of my Managers forgot to bring it in the other night, and alas he is gone! We love our pig and want him back. Would he go under lost pets? He was like a pet to us.

No, this is more Crime Watch than Lost/Found Pets. If you’ve seen the pig, please contact Dicki, 937 5637.

Total bummer :-( Also, what ever happened about the totem pole on 35th?? Haven’t seen any news on that pilfered treasure either.

Perhaps the A-frame sign went in a dumpster… where illegal A-frame signs belong. You start to hate them after you see a blind guy with a cane wipeout when he ran into one because his cane slid under the sign. The city makes those illegal except in 4 business districts (Pike Market, Broadway, The Ave, & Pioneer Sq, I believe). Businesses in the areas have to apply for a collective A-frame permit & carry a massive insurance policy.

To the passive aggressive “Big Bad Wolf”- perhaps speaking up to the managers at Joe’s would have made more sense than throwing away a piece of art that someone worked hard on. I’m not worried, though, karma will come for you.

    To the pansy little “BigBadWolf”:

I hope somebody blows down something that is important to you then goes on the internet to gloat about it.

Sorry, comment time is over.
