We’ve had a couple reports of vandalism in Crime Watch the past few days (see the WSCW page for links) – and another one this morning. We took the photos above after Dr. Bill Raleigh (WSB sponsor) e-mailed us to report, “We are sad to say the handcrafted sign out in front of our office was destroyed over the weekend. Being right on the corner of California and Genesee [map] and in a well-lit area didn’t help – the vandals broke the sign in half, leaving pieces strewn over our grass.”
Sad. I just don’t understand the appeal in being destructive in such a manner. It’s not amusing, clever, nor does it make you seem/look like a bad @ss. It’s just disgusting.
Maybe the same kids who were seen kicking off cars’ side mirrors?

Dr. Raleigh is such a nice person this is just sad. Hope you can fix it.
To say that kids didn’t act like that forty or fifty years ago isn’t the truth either..unfortunetly, this happens more frequently THESE days. Some of these kids have no appreciation for things. They need to go WITHOUT for a good while and then have their ass*S kicked for showing DISREPECT! Yes, it’s only a sign now, but tomorrow?

Yeah, I’ve never understood why people like to vandalize… what’s the point and what is to be gained from it? It can’t possibly feel good.
