Would anyone like to share their experiences with Gatewood?

I have been extremely happy there with my daughter. I love our faculty and I feel like she is getting a terrific education there. Feel free to come to our open house tonight and ask questions.

Correct me if I am wrong on this – but unless Gatewood is your neighborhood school – according to the NEW SPS assignments – there’s no point in attending the open house ???

You can apply to go to a school that’s outside your attendance area. But it’s not the same process as before, where there were no default assignments so you had to list your choices – it’s, you’re automatically assigned to your “neighborhood school” but can request to go elsewhere, and they’ll see if it’s room. I’m off to go look for a link on that …
