A place to play: New West Seattle “game afternoon” starting up

Starting one week from today, there’s a new chance to get together and play games – the old-fashioned analog kind – with friends and neighbors. Darlene, a supervisor at Morgan Junction Starbucks (California/Fauntleroy), e-mailed today to say that as of February 7, they’re starting a weekly “game afternoon,” 3 pm Sundays. She adds, “We will have a few games to choose from, but are encouraging people to bring in their favorites to share and play.” In case you lose track – we’re adding this to the WSB West Seattle Events calendar. (Any other regular game afternoons/evenings we should have on the list? editor@westseattleblog.com – thanks!)

Um–well, Friends of Southwest Library decided in January to host three more game afternoons at the Southwest Branch Library, but I hadn’t got the information to you, yet:

Sunday, February 14 (“Check Your Mate”)

    Sunday, March 14 (“Pi Day”)

Sunday, April 11 (No special designation, yet…)

all from 1 to 4:30 pm in the meeting room at the branch.

Looks like people will have a choice of venues!

Sigh, I was going to ping you before publishing this but got sidetracked. I checked the FoSWL website and didn’t see anything there. Will get these in the calendar!

Julie — can you give more info on “Check Your Mate” and “Pi Day”? Thanks.

Sorry, comment time is over.
