It looks like you do some really nice work. One suggestion, lose the Windows Media Player as a device for showing your work, it’s borderline painful. I gave up looking at it after seeing Kitchens.

Mark, what’s your favorite method for folks to showcase video on their website? We’re always interested in observations like this! – TR

West Seattle Design Build did our basement remodel a few years ago. What a great job. Beautiful finishes, good communication, and very patient. Jon Morin is a gifted craftsman and wonderful at making creative use of space. I recommend them without hesitation.

    Tracy,

Its not that Windows Media Player is a poor choice for videos. But, if you are using it to do a slide show with limited bandwith it is just a poor choice. It is slow to load, tough to naviagte. I still think thumbails work best for what is pretty much a static site. It would allow for more pictures to be shown and give the end user a little more control. Again, it looks like they do beautiful work, as a do it myself home re-modeler I love the look and quality.

as far as the website discussion goes, I don’t know anything about computer code or names for web page things, but my favorite way to view photos is on petster.com
if you click on the first thumbnail of many photos, a little window pops up and the main web page is grayed out.
you can click through the photos and then close the pop up window when you are done.
here is a random example- the thumbnails are on the right

re: windows media player on their site:

None of the galleries on their site load on my MacBook. Like Mark said – keep it simple – thumbnails with links to full size images works wonders for a simple site such as this.
