One, a business break-in attempt – the other targeted a car (whose owner is puzzled why the thief/thieves took what they did) – read on for both reports (one includes a photo):

That photo came from Angela at Budget Blinds of West Seattle (WSB sponsor) along with this report:
9pm last night our glass alarm went off and the alarm company contacted the owners Kendra & Parrish Hammer. They rushed to the showroom! It appears that someone attempted to break in by throwing a large rock at the door twice & they took, what seems to be, a crowbar & tried to peel the door open. Thankfully we have a protective film on the glass (as you can see from the pictures) that (deters) break ins! What really shocks us is that this happened at 9pm. The neighborhood is still out & about. People driving on/off the West Seattle Bridge. Fauntleroy is a busy road, even at 9pm. After throwing a large rock a couple times & trying to pry themselves in, it appears they got frustrated & tore out one of our planter boxes. Luckily they were unsuccessful. Although, we do keep everything locked up here!
Budget Blinds’ official address is 3518 SW Genesee, but as you can see on the map if you haven’t passed by before, it’s steps off Fauntleroy. And from a mile south on Fauntleroy, we get this car owner’s report:
My Scion xB was broken into around 5am this morning in (the west side of the 5600 block of) Fauntleroy Way SW [map]. I heard the alarm, and turned on the light, but couldn’t see anything (and wasn’t dressed to go out and confront a burglar!). I can’t figure out how they got in as the doors were locked, no apparent damage to doors or windows. All I can tell they stole was my change cup with about $5 in it and my business cards. If anyone has ideas on what someone can do with business cards, please let me know. Worst part… they SMOKED in my car (which has never been so violated). I can hardly stand to be in it!!!
