Traffic alert: Crowd expected for Sounders opener tomorrow

Lots of West Seattleites commute to and through Sodo/Pioneer Square, so we’re sharing this traffic alert – tens of thousands will be in the area tomorrow afternoon/evening for the Seattle Sounders‘ kickoff game.

We watched on tv – crowd support was great! Though not being educated soccer fans, it moved slowly for us (not the players, they’re FAST, just don’t appreciate the nuances of the game yet) and the green jerseys were easily lost agains the field on our tv screen, lol. Of course, the noise and special effects at Qwest were impressive. Looking forward to following the team, fun stuff!
