Countdown continues to King County Water Taxi’s April 5 kickoff

As reported here last Thursday, the Water Taxi is now the King County Water Taxi, no longer the Elliott Bay WT. With its April 5th season kickoff (remember – free rides all day!) now just a week and a half away, the county’s issued a new fact sheet with a reminder of some of the other changes – see it here.

I didn’t see any improvements in the route structure for the water taxi shuttle. I was led to believe that the water taxi shuttle would serve Morgan Junction and perhaps even Westwood Village. As it stands now, it remains – as I’ve said in the past – not the West Seattle Water Taxi but the Alki/Admiral and maybe Alaska Junction Water Taxi. I’m disappointed and whatever new service would serve Morgan Junction is still posted as being two years away at the earliest. Elliott Bay Water Taxi was the more appropriate name as the vessel did – in fact – traverse Elliott Bay even if it did not serve West Seattle in its entirety.

Sorry, comment time is over.
