West Seattle High’s Aaron Grymes changes his mind

According to the Seattle Times, West Seattle High School cornerback Aaron Grymes has decided to sign with Idaho instead of UW, saying the Huskies had asked him to “grayshirt” instead of starting next season. (Realdawg.com reported the news earlier today; its story requires membership to read.)

Bummer that he isn’t going to be a husky – hope he likes it @ Idaho and does well. Get a good education and enjoy!

Aaron – also known as SCRATCHY – will be a great asset to Idaho. They are lucky to have him and we are soooo excited to see him grow as a young man and a football player.
Kick ass baby!!!! You earned this – now enjoy it :-)

Change: A bend in the road is not the end of the road…..unless you fail to make the turn!

    Great choice…. GO VANDALS!

This is simply typical of Washington football. Consider it a blessing to be away from the Montlake cesspool. The new guys will all be fired before anything gets turned around.

If Grymes is not absolutely certain that Moscow is the place for him, I would encourage him to send his video to Montana, or even Oregon. As fast as Aaron is, he might just be surprised that Oregon track just might be able to find a place for him, with the chance of football in the fall.

Thank you, Aaron, for holding yourself to a higher
standard. You are an inspiration to the wildcat fans and I am sure you have been to your team, school and family. Never loose that drive to do well and chase your dreams. Dreams do come true.
When one door seems closed, another will always open. Savor the moment and have a great time in Idaho. Only good memories await you. good choice.
