West Seattle Halloween: Start the day with WS pumpkin pix

Happy Halloween! No pix of this yet, but last night, Walking on Logs at the end of The Bridge was surrounded by glowing jack-o-lanterns. Didn’t see it far enough in advance to pull over for pix. Eddie e-mailed that he saw cars there just after 8 pm. Let us know if you know who did it – and/or if you have pix! Now, the latest WSB’er pumpkins:

That’s from Meredith in Admiral. Next, a jack-o-lantern group from Benjamin at 13th/Webster:

And two from John Moore of Northwest Insurance Group (WSB sponsor):

John also sent an Obama-o-lantern — one of several we have, along with two other celebrity (nonpolitical, more or less) carvings; just click ahead:

More Obama pumpkins from Andy S and Jennifer B:

From Heidi:

Now, the non-Obama celebrities. The Dark Knight is courtesy of someone who said only that they’re at 34th and Webster:

And from Dave in Westwood, Bob Marley:

More Halloween coverage as the day – and night – goes by (got a jack-o-lantern to share? e-mail us!). Check the Holidays page for a full events list, including some new additions, like All Hallows Eve at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church.

im sad..i got my pumpkins at QFC and we carved them the same night..then they rotted the next day…….like we woke up in the morning and they were tottaly black in the inside, this will teach me to stick with the pumpkin farms and not take the easy way out next year!!!!

Sorry about the anonymity on the Dark Knight pumpkin. I sent it from my cell phone and forgot to add my name. We also have Harvey Dent and Sweeney Todd at the house. Come by and see us tonight. We have lots of good candy too. 34th Ave between Webster and Holden

I really don’t see how a pumpkin can rot in one night. Are you sure it wasn’t burning from a candle? Sometimes with a candle that’s too big it will overheat the candle and then it will later turn black and soft.

One more for the collection – here’s mine. Can you guess what I drive?

Also, be sure to check out the pumkins on the porch of the house at the NW corner of Juneau and 30th, they’re great!
