Friday-Saturday, SLGFF (WSB sponsor) has its first-ever West Seattle showings, at the Admiral Theater; again tonight, we’re giving away two tickets – read on for the how-to:

That’s the trailer for “Equality U” — which begins with the words, “At over 200 colleges, you can be kicked out, simply for being gay.” It’s showing at noon Saturday at the Admiral. Also showing during the Friday-Saturday film festival (which runs at a variety of venues citywide through Sunday; full schedule here): Friday night begins with “Tough Girls: Shorts at 6 pm, followed by “The Sensei” at 7:30 pm and “A Nightmare on Elm Street 2” at 10 pm; on Saturday, after “Equality U” at noon, it’s “The New World” at 2:30 pm, the documentary “The Kinsey Sicks: Almost Infamous” at 4:30, “Dogtags” at 7 pm, “Camp Blood: Shorts” at 9 pm, then a special “Rocky Horror Picture Show” presentation at 11:30. Now, tonight’s giveaway – same thing as Night 1, if you were with us for that – two pairs of tickets, one pair each to the first two people who e-mail us, good for any of those showings EXCEPT “The Sensei” and “Rocky Horror.” So e-mail westseattleblog@yahoo.com with two things in your e-mail: which movie you want tickets for, and the name in which the tickets should be held at “will call” at the Admiral for pickup on show day. We’ll add an update right after this sentence when the giveaway’s over. UPDATE: Both pairs have been given away.
