Two months after the sign went up, the doors are ready to open for the first of two years Chief Sealth High School will spend at the former Boren Junior High on Delridge – and now there’s word that Sealth is inviting the community to a tour and barbecue next Saturday, 11 am-2 pm. Address: 5950 Delridge; here’s a map.

It is a big plus for the Sealth students to be welcomed to their temporary school not by the three decrepit, collapsing and vacant houses that used to be across the street from Boren but instead will be greeted by new construction that is occurring where said decrepit buildings used to be.

West Seattle Junction architectural firm NK Architects and West Seattle Developer Mike Giomi are the driving force behind this townhome project. This should be a bright spot of new development in this stretch of Delridge Way.

Sorry, comment time is over.
