Sunday morning — time to post the “fresh sheet” if you’re going shopping at the West Seattle Farmers’ Market today (10 am-2 pm, southeast corner of 44th/Alaska):

Reminder — this is the citywide fresh sheet so you’ll see other markets alluded to, but we do edit out anything that’s explicitly listed as not available in WS:

What’s New this Week:

Wild Mushrooms: Morels, Porcini, Snowbank Morels, Oyster – at West Sea and U-District.

Daikon Radish

Bamboo Shoots – Sweet (eat raw) and Winter Shoots (meatier, crunchier – sauté) – UD, WS, CC and Phinney

New Onions: Red and Green bunching onions – at all markets

Greens: Turnip Greens, Collards, Cauliflower Greens, Mustard Greens

Japanese Specialty Greens: Mibuna, Komatsuma, Shingiku (edible Chrysanthemum leaves)

Strawberries: First of season – very limited quantities.
