Online and in “ballot boxes” placed at West Seattle businesses, hundreds of people offered suggestions for the Sidewalk Cinema Movies on the Wall series in The Junction coming up in July and August — now Lora Lewis, proprietor of Hotwire Coffee (WSB sponsor), which is next to the courtyard with the big screen you see above, confirms the slate is set — read on:
Reminder that this isn’t the result of just raw “votes” — other factors were involved including the availability of movies, suitability for all-ages audience, and input from sponsors. There aren’t exact times for when the movies start, because it’s generally “when it gets dark” – which as you know, gets earlier as the summer goes on.

We’ll add all this (with movie info links) to the Cinema page here on the site shortly, and will add the movie details to the Events page (where you’ll find dates for other summer fun) but wanted to post it here on the main page first. If you’re interested in other outdoor-movie sites around the area, the Sidewalk Cinema site has a tentative list of the ones they’re involved with — ours here in West Seattle is by far the most extensive. (Last year’s West Seattle list, by the way, was in this WSB post.)
