From the WSB Forums: Happy ending for would-be West Seattleites

If you haven’t already seen it today, there’s a happy ending to the “Don’t hate us because we love your town, help us move here” thread in the WSB Forums (first mentioned here 10 days ago). Now there’s word these would-be West Seattleites have found a place. Welcome to West Seattle!

Thanks for the warm welcomes. We never would have found our happy ending without your blog. We owe you our eternal happiness. Ok, maybe not our eternal happiness, but something!

I’ve lived in West Seattle since 1948 and Hubby since 1966. We sold our family home a few years ago and considered other places we where we could retire. Nothing compared to what we have loved for so long in the fullness of this community.

We decided to spend all of our remaining years right here in WS.

    The Blog is priceless.

I am glad you made a match but now you have to do the awful hard work of moving! Best of luck! I hope you have lots of help.

If you ever decide to put down serious roots, look me up. I’ve been doing a lot of rental relo work for the Port lately, which is why I was able to give you a lead (looks like that wasn’t the winner), but my expertise is helping people buy green homes and live an eco-conscious lifestyle.

Thanks, Wendy. We try to be very green’ and are always interested in getting greener. Even though we aren’t buying yet, there are many things I’d like to know about. Grey water and solar are two techs. I’d like to explore. Thanks again for the lead!
