Opening night for new Beveridge Place Pub

beveridgesign.jpg

We called earlier this afternoon to check on the status of the new Beveridge Place Pub (slightly delayed by a little red tape), and the person who answered the phone said they were expecting to find out by late afternoon if it was thumbs up for opening — Just checked back minutes ago and learned they got “thumbs up,” so they opened the new location (just north of the old one) immediately, and starting at 6 pm, they want you to know, it’s “Georgetown Brewers’ Night.”

I got the word from Terri last night and was able to make it to the grand re-opening. What a beautiful pub!! For the first hour or so all I could say was “Wow!”

They have done such a nice job. The new pub is just beautiful – I was also pretty speechless other than “wow”.

What a beautiful establishment! Great folk, gleaming hardwood and a staggering selection of craft brew come together in concert to bring a hushed awe to even the most discerning pubgoer. Bravo!

Thanks to all for the positive feedback, and especially the great turnout! After a crazy year of learning way too much about construction and permitting/inspection idiosyncracies, it’s great to get back to what we know and love the best – serving up great beer and wine! We still have some work to do, like painting the outside and finishing the parking lot, but at least we’re open – WHEW! Cheers from the BPP crew!

Hey, does anyone know what might be happen to the old BBP location? It would be so great to see a restaurant go in. What about the Corner Bar? That place needs a serious overhaul.

Somebody’s been doing work but apparently without a permit, as there’s a “stop work order” posted on the window. Got a picture the other day and never got time to post about it. Still trying to find out who’s been doing the work.

Sorry, comment time is over.
