Last year, they did “Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr.” (above, ArtsWest photo by WSB contributing photojournalist Matt Durham) – this year, “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr.” – and signups for ArtsWest summer camp start this morning. Here’s the full scoop from AW (WSB sponsor):

2008 is the seventh year of ArtsWest-s nationally recognized Summer Musical Theater Education Programs.

Camp students will enjoy a fun-filled summer spent learning about Acting, Dancing and Music while rehearsing and performing a full production of
Disney’s Alice In Wonderland Jr. Five public performances of the show will be presented at ArtsWest.

TUITION: $600
AGES: 8-12
DATES: June 30 – August 3 MON-FRI, 9am-3pm
HOLIDAYS: July 4-7 (time off)
PERFORMANCES: July 31 -August 3

About the Play
Join three Alices and three Cheshire Cats on a madcap adventure in Wonderland: chase the White Rabbit, race the Dodo Bird, get tied up with the Tweedles, rap with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beat the Queen of Hearts at her own game! This fast-paced stage adaptation of Alice in Wonderland features updated dialogue and new arrangements of such classic Disney songs as -I-m Late,- -The Un-birthday Song- and -Zip- A-Dee-Doo-Dah.-
