Moonrise in The Junction

WSB contributing photographer Christopher Boffoli spotted the last piece of the Shadowland sign now in place — the moon. As for when they’re opening – still waiting to hear.

This is very cool. With the neon, and the hand-painted details, I appreciate the careful attention they’re paying to the place.

I LOVE that sign! Kudo’s to it’s designer and/or creators, I suspect there will be much more business in the future for them! Hope the joint is just as cool!

From inside sources, the first glass unofficial hit the deck this evening, Tuesday. Official openning Friday. CMT

There were a couple of people at the bar around 6:00 pm, but I wasn’t sure if they were open or not.

I think it was the ‘let’s get it RIGHT before we really open walkthrough for staff/servers because if we don’t, the WSBlog readers will cream us’ soft opening.

“From inside sources, the first glass unofficial hit the deck this evening, Tuesday..”

I don’t understand this? Can you please elaborate? :)

I drove by on the way home from work and was stopped at the light tonight. Looked very cool. There was one person inside, figured it was an owner or something. But there were chairs + tables in the front, and from my almost nightly walks, I’ve observed booths in the back. Almost reminds me of a nicer Crocodile Cafe (sans stage area) in the setup. Nice lighting too.

Me and the husband are determined to go on opening night – so, it’ll be Friday? We’re really hoping for a casual fun place to go to eat that won’t feel like a meat market on weekend night (West 5ish on weekend nights), but a fun, cool, casual place to hang with the locals – with a decent menu.

Shadowland co-proprietor Joe tells us they’ve passed inspections but are waiting for one last key call – from the Liquor Control Board – before they can at least have a “soft opening.” MIGHT be sooner than Friday. We’ll post it on the site the second we hear.

To my son in law Ben, I am very proud of what you have accomplished thus far and you haven’t even opened yet! You have put in a lot of long hours and late nights and worked very hard for this opportunity of the american dream. It’s a beautiful restaurant and I know the food will be delicious! I wish you much success Ben, I only wish I could be there for opening night! Love You, Kathy

That sign is truly awesome! What a great addition to the Corner. Looking forward to the food. I hear they got a steal with the chef. Can’t wait until you “OPEN”!

I hope they can cook better than they can spell. There were two misspelled items on the menu posted in the window. Tsk.

Aiden, maybe you should try the food at the library…it’s proof-read and sooo yummy!

It has been a long time coming and alot of hard work going into a first class restaurant for all to enjoy. Being a person who will not accept nothing but the best I know the restaurant will be a great success. Best of luck !!!!
Being several thousand miles away we will miss of course the grand opening. Can’t wait to hear about it.

Sorry, comment time is over.
