Sure seems like a waste of money as the State has decided to simply Repair it.

You and your NO/NO vote recommendation didn’t contribute to the mess, did it? I hope you enjoy your future commute, I, being one of the lucky people that just retired, will laugh at your future rants about the traffic mess.

Sometimes, your dreams do come true.

actually, I think they should take the 8 mil out of the city council’s salaries…then they might just think twice about wasting this kind of money…but…typically Seattle…8 mil for another study. Seems that’s all they know what to do…

    when’s the next election?

I agree Jan. Mayor Gridlock and the city council must think Seattle is not living on borrowed time as far as mass transit goes. It’s gotta be obvious that a this plan they’re studying will choke West Settle and Ballard even more. You’d think Mayor Gridlock would have a little more compassion for West Seattle since he lives here, or did his developer friends buy him a helicopter for commuting.
I say make it mandatory for the council and the mayor to drive around during rush hour for a year in order to study this proposal.

Perhaps if folks hadn’t been so quick to vote down the monorail, we’d be in the process of building a project to INCREASE capacity along the Waterfront and that could serve us during the eventual Viaduct closure.Instead… we’ll just have closure.

Not sure which folks you mean Micky but it was voted FOR by a majority what 4 or 5 times. It wasn’t until Mayor Gridlock turned his back on the idea that it went south. Sure it had it’s financial problems, but what huge project doesn’t. If Greg Gridlock had been working FOR the people instead of for his developer buddies, we could have ironed out those problems and it would be a viable solution to the viaduct…West Seattle would be a sweet place to live…. but instead, of course, we all got robbed paying a monorail tax for nothing. We don’t even get re-imbursed?? I can’t wait to throw the guy out of the city, next election.
